LJC partnered with Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) to design a new headquarters in the historic Macy’s flagship building at 24 E. Washington St. that consolidates teams from five product platforms—cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts, and spices—into a unified space. The design supports OFI’s need for innovation, allowing them to develop and test ingredients for global clients. LJC created a dual-zone layout: one area is public facing, emphasizing customer experience, while the other is private, focusing on corporate and employee functions.

In the customer area, visitors are greeted by a reception that opens to test kitchens and a multifunctional dining room, offering transparency as products are prepared. The employee zone includes workstations, private offices, and labs, designed with flexibility for future growth. The 10th-floor space features large windows and thoughtful acoustical treatments that foster collaboration and create intimate environments. The new headquarters supports OFI's evolving culture by promoting cross-platform interaction in a welcoming and functional environment.
