LJC, in partnership with Clayco, is designing ENTEK’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for lithium battery separator production. The facility will support the production needs of 1.4 to 1.6 million electric vehicles annually, helping ENTEK meet growing industry demands. The design features six industrial buildings, each housing flexible production lines that can adapt to future operational changes. With a 1,350-foot linear process line, the layout optimizes efficiency while integrating spaces for public tours and employee support.

The project embraces sustainability, incorporating insulated concrete panels, native prairie landscaping, and renewable energy systems to reduce environmental impact. LJC navigated the challenge of ENTEK’s evolving production needs through multiple iterations of master planning, ensuring the design meets both current and future requirements. This facility not only reinforces ENTEK’s role in advancing battery technology but also supports government initiatives to increase domestic production, creating 500 to 600 jobs in the Terre Haute area.
