Oak Brook Reserve, located at the former McDonald’s HQ campus, is undergoing a transformation to revitalize the site surrounding three late 20th-century buildings—a commercial office, a hotel, and a conference center. LJC’s approach focuses on rebranding and enhancing the site to attract tenants, emphasizing preservation, restoration, and strategic new interventions that honor the campus' original character.

Balancing immediate enhancements with long-term vision, the design ensures resilience amid ecological, social, and economic shifts. This project aspires to create a legacy that addresses climate change, suburban sprawl, and evolving work environments. Upon completion, Oak Brook Reserve will stand as a vibrant landmark, reflecting the values and culture of a forward-thinking community.
