In 2017, Tower Grove Park adopted a master plan to guide its evolution while maintaining its historic Victorian character. As part of this vision, LJC and lead historic architect Trivers were selected to reimagine the revitalization of the Lily Ponds Area and Facilities Core, the park’s historic heart and home to many treasured buildings.
The project includes the rehabilitation of key structures, such as the director’s residence, administration building, and greenhouse, alongside the development of outdoor dining and event spaces. Improvements to circulation, pathways, and a new operations building are also central to the plan. With new utilities and a focus on sustainability, pedestrian safety, and preserving views, the design ensures that all updates respect the park’s unique historic significance and align with its future needs.
